Born April 8th, 1989, Takahashi Hitomi debuted with the song Bokutachi no Yukeu after she was selected over 20,000 other participants to sing the 3rd opening theme for the anime Gundam SEED Destiny.

Since then, she has released eight additional singles, with Atashi no Machi, Ashita no Machi being the latest, due to release on June 4th, 2008.

Like most people, I first heard her music from watching Gundam SEED Destiny, but I didn't actually like Bokutachi no Yukue too much. And it wasn't until I watched the 2007 anime Toward the Terra or Terra e... and heard her sing the second opening, JET BOY JET GIRL, that I really became a fan. Needless to say, JET BOY JET GIRL is still my favorite song of hers today, with CANDY·LINE in second.

Some of the qualities I like about her are not only her voice, but also the fact that she doesn't fit into the typical glamorous female pop singer category. She's far more tomboyish, spunky, and cute in her own way.
